Friend and colleague, Dr Kath Schmidhofer, has been through cancer twice. Most recently, she had to navigate this with two young children. As a child psychologist she probably had a better idea than most about how she handled conversations with her own kids, however this made it no less difficult. This book is written with a deep knowledge of working with young people professionally and experiencing first hand the challenges of being a parent of young children whilst navigating the challenges of cancer treatment. It’s a book we have on our clinic shelf and we would recommend it to those walking this difficult path of cancer and parenthood to share with their children.
