Referrals
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist, however if you wish to obtain a Medicare rebate, you can visit your GP or specialist paediatrician or psychiatrist to obtain an eligible Mental Health Care Plan.
Claiming through private health insurance generally does not require a referral, however you will need to confirm the conditions around private health claims for your particular policy with your private health insurer. To make an appointment, please phone the clinic on 02 9420 0896 or email the clinic.
Location:
Our clinic is within close reach to the lower and upper North Shore and Inner West of Sydney as well as being close to link roads across the bridge to the Eastern Suburbs. We are located at Suite C, 161 Burns Bay Rd, Lane Cove, in a small building of office suites situated behind the main row of shops. You will see a sign located at the entrance to Charlish Lane pointing down the laneway located near the footpath out the front with “The Young Mind Clinic”. We are in the building behind Stuart Leal Gallery, adjacent to the IGA carpark. There is a flight of stairs going up the outside of this building an additional central stairwell which will take you to Level 2, where you will find the front door to the clinic on the left.
Parking
There is ample free parking (mostly with a 2 hour time limit) on the streets surrounding us including Burns Bay Rd itself, as well as Fig Tree St and Ross Smith Pde. Please do not park in the IGA carpark as this is for their customers only.
